A technical challenge. The house stood on the other side of Long Island and had to be edited in. However, by editing the house in, the seagulls started to look like flying dinosaurs, because of their size. Also, we had to shoot for two days on the beach and the camera needed a locking point that was in the tide. We made markers in the water and hoped it would stay there which worked out. This was my first commercial and it won a prize in Cannes which made me happy. We shot on film so the set around the camera was stunning. It started with a clapper loader in front of the camera, then a focus puller, then the film loader, then the camera operator, and behind that the cameramen and 5 meters behind that me behind the monitor.
